The word in the city of wind is that there is no money and that we are in dire circumstances. Schools are being shut, programs are being cut however there is money for some things in our fair city. If you happen to be an elected official you get access to a $1400 dollar tablet. I’m not saying that officials should not have technology available to do their jobs but it seems like the city is spending top dollar while it’s telling everyone else to suffer because that’s what the times call for. If the times are calling for sacrifice shouldn’t everyone be sacrificing? It’s time to put our elected officials to the fire or better yet hand them pink slips at election time. If they are not going to operate with the will of the people in mind they don’t need to be operating in this city at all! That’s just my 2 cents! Do you think we are really in a financial crunch in the city of Chicago or does that just apply to some people?
